Do you feel anxious, overwhelmed and lacking motivation? Is it hard to get through day to day life? Life is hard and everyone needs help navigating life’s difficulties. We all have experiences that can make life harder. Mountainside Counseling offers hope and healing. Using research-based methods we empower teens, and adults to take charge of their lives and to take steps towards reaching their goals.
Our treatment focus is to help individuals heal, build healthy coping skills, and relationships and become aware of their inner strengths. We achieve this by providing a safe space, listening to your experiences, and customizing our therapy approach so it fits your needs. We offer both traditional talk therapy, and other modalities such as EMDR, CBT and IFS.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have 5 years of experience. I'm passionate about providing my clients the best treatment for their specific needs. I am trained in EMDR therapy, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy and I have experience using CBT, DBT, Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) and Client Centered Therapy. I work with Teens and Adults.
I believe a positive self-perception, resilience, and healthy relationships are key to creating positive meaningful change in the lives of my clients. I've helped many people manage their mental health symptoms, learn to be in control of their lives and work through their trauma.
Life can hit hard—whether it’s anxiety, trauma, relationship strain, or the weight of keeping it all together. I’m Cassie Denton, ACMHC, and I help clients find clarity, strength, and real tools to push forward. Using CBT, DBT, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, and Narrative Therapy, I tailor sessions to fit your life, no fluff.
As an Army wife and twin mom who raised three kids through deployments and chaos, I get feeling stretched thin or lost. That drives my work with military families navigating relentless change, moms rediscovering themselves, teens forging confidence, couples rebuilding bonds, and men tackling stress, career shifts, or silent struggles—because strength isn’t carrying it alone, it’s facing it head-on.
When I’m not in session, I’m reading, skiing, hiking, or with my family, grounding in what matters. Many people put off therapy, hoping things will get better on their own. But what if six months from now, you could feel lighter, stronger, and more like yourself? If you’ve been waiting for a reason to start, this is it.
The primary goal for people who have experienced trauma, their families, and their care providers is recovery. Recovery may not necessarily mean complete freedom from post-traumatic effects, but the ability to live in the present without being overwhelmed with the thoughts and feelings from the past. Trauma therapy helps these individuals take control of their mental health and find relief.
The way you manage stress and anxiety can have a deep effect on your mental health and those around you. You might need help navigating new stressors during this season of life. An expert can help you sharpen your ability to cope with the demands of work and other responsibilities so you can enjoy life every single day.
EMDR is a somatic therapy technique that can be used to treat a variety of mental health issues. It reduces symptoms of PTSD, anxiety and depression. It increases your emotional regulation, while decreasing the emotional distress to triggers. It improves self-perception, and works faster than traditional talk therapy.
